“Cambriae Typus Auctore Humfredo Lhuydo Denbigiense Cambrobritanno”
Published in Amsterdam by Jodocus Hondius II in 1619.
A map of Wales engraved from a manuscript map drawn by the Welshman Humphrey Lhuyd (1527-68), an M.P. and personal physician to Lord Arundel.
He tragically died at the age of 41, five years before his map was first published, by his friend Abraham Ortelius.
This version was engraved by Pieter van den Keere and first published in 1607, in the second Hondius edition of Mercator’s atlas.
