Vintage Checkerboard Earrings Larter & Sons Inlaid Onyx MOP 14k Yellow Gold

Stylish pair of Larter & Sons checkerboard earrings crafted in 14k yellow gold (circa 1970s to 1980s).

Onyx and mother of pearl is inlaid into the mounts.

The striking earrings are inlaid flush with luminous mother of pearl and black onyx in a checkerboard pattern. The earrings are made by Larter & Sons, a highly regarded American jewelry manufacturer since 1865. The firm produced jewelry Tiffany & Cartier and is known for their high quality jewelry. Larter & Sons ceased operations in 2014. Measuring just under 1 inch diameter the earrings make a great statement on the earlobe.

The earrings are in very good condition and were recently lightly cleaned and polished.
