Vintage Design
Adorable bird sugar or pepper dispenser in hand-edged silver. A standing hawk-like bird, with curved beak, folded wings and square-cut garnet gem eyes. It has removable head and a simple push-turn-fit. The decoration is of typical Kashmiri style, with chinar leaves on the back and underbelly. It is made of a good gauge of silver. Acid-tested to 830-850/1000 silver. The feet are mounted with brass screws and the head has brass pin stoppers. There is no maker’s mark.
Measurements: L: 7.5 cm, H: 6 cm, W: 4 cm. Weight approx. 80 grams.
